The Roomba is a robotic vacuum cleaner made by iRobot Corporation. The Roomba robot was first released in 2002 with updates and new models released every year since. The name "Roomba" is a portmanteau of "room" and "rumba". Maybe because of the way it dances around the room as it works. As of January 2008, over 3 million units have been sold.
